Offerine my sincere apologies to Chiloccoans across the country that I will no longer continue this Chiloccoan Website due to the fact the current President does not see the need to conduct business in a professional manner and would rather allow the meetings to include a "divisive, hostile work environment" toward myself and the Trearurer. Since I pay for this website out of personal funds of $157 per year, I choose to just close this site on Jan 15, 2023 when the renewal is due. I will continue as the Chair of the Hall of Fame Committee (per the BY-Laws which defaults this position to the out going President) but will do so in absentia of the CNAA Board Meetings. Again, after Jan 15, 2023 this site will no longer be active. Jim Baker

Sandy Fife Wilson, Art Teacher at Chilocco, 1977 - 1980. Morris, OK. BA and MA, Northeastern Oklahoma State University.
Chilocco Cemetery Monument errected in 2020 and dedicated in 2022. It is in honor of the estimated 67 students, employees and children whose names are affiliated with burials in this cemetery. Monument is a joint effort between the Chilocco National Alumni Association, Kaw Nation and constructed and erected by Dan Jones.

(Above) A tribal representative offers a prayer as he lays a wreath on a grave during the dedication ceremony.
Tribal officials of five tribes come together to discuss and implement a road improvement plan to the cemetery that now allows easy access to the cemetery.
